There are two types of insulation: core insulation and tape insulation. The insulation wrapped around the core is called core insulation, while the insulation of multi-core cables with insulated wire cores combined and then covered is called tape insulation. The tape insulation is separated from the protective layer to form reliable ground insulation. The insulation layer is usually made of oil immersed paper, plastic, rubber, etc. Plastic cables can be divided into polyvinyl chloride cables, polyethylene cables, and cross-linked polyethylene cables, while rubber cables use natural styrene butadiene rubber, butyl rubber, and ethylene propylene rubber as insulation layers.
