Quadruplex Aluminum Cable Type URD
Applications: Directly buried or installed in ducts for 600 volt secondary distribution.
Construction: Concentric stranded or compressed 1350-H19 aluminum conductors, crosslinked polyethylene insulation. Insulated conductors surface printed, neutral triple yel low striped. Three phase and one neutral conductor cabled together (LH lay) or parallel if so specified. Black neutrals may be specified is desired.
Standards: Secondary UD quadruplex conductor 600V cable meets or exceeds the following ASTM specifications.
B-230 Aluminum Wire, 1350-H19 for Electrical Purposes.
B-231 Aluminum 1350 conductors, Concentric-Lay-Stranded.
B-786 "19 Wire combination unilay-stranded Aluminum Conductors for subsequent insulation".
B-901 "Compressed round stranded Aluminum Conductors using single input wire construction".
Secondary UD quadruplex conductor 600V cable meets or exceeds all applicable requirements of ICEA S-105-692.

Aluminum URD Cable & Wire
The aluminum URD wire is rated at 600v, used for underground distribution and service entry applications not exceeding 90 degrees Celsius. It can be directly submerged in earth or fitted in context with wet or dry conditions. It's a Class B compacted of concentric lay stranded 1350 aluminum compound of ASTM B231 or AA-8000 aluminum blend with ASTM B800&B801. Its phase conductors in black thermoset cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE). Neutral Rod in black thermoset cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) identified by yellow striping or full yellow jacket.
The single conductor aluminum cable type UD, is a minor installation for an underground service. Where it's likely used for installation to a barn, house or some type of secondary fitting that requires subversive service of 600 volts or lower. Four solitary aluminum wires can be used in applications for hinges or to power an energy basis. The cable can be used lacking any protection and just buried in the ground. It has the construction of rods which are stuck, and compressed 1350-H19, H16 or H26 aluminum, insulated with vulcanized interwoven polyethylene (VIP 1).

B-786 "19 Wire combination unilay-stranded Aluminum Conductors for subsequent insulation", B-901 "Compressed round stranded Aluminum Conductors using single input wire construction". Also the Secondary UD triplex conductor 600V cable can meet all appropriate requirements of ICEA S-105-692, or even exceed the valid requirements.

Quadruplex Aluminum Mobile Home Feeder is also graded at 600 volts, the wire is sunlight resistant and is accepted for use in agreement with the approvals of the National Electrical Code in channels and underground installations. Aluminum blend conductor is recognized by ASTM in Standards B800 and B801.
