Operating Characteristics
10kV XLPE insulated overhead cable / Aerial bundled Cable / ABC Cable using condition:
1) cable conductor of the maximum allowed working temperature for a long time:
High density polyethylene insulation: 75 ºC
Cross-linked polyethylene insulation: 90 ºC
2) when short circuit (the longest duration of no more than 5 seconds) the highest temperature of the cable:
High density polyethylene insulation: 150 ºC
Cross-linked polyethylene insulation: 250 ºC
3) cable installation temperature should not below 0 ºC.
4) the allowed bending radius of the cable:
Single core cable :20 (D + d)
Multicore cable : 15 (D + d)
Notes: D means the actual overall diameter of cable
d means Actual diameter of cable conductor
